Reflections and GoalsAs I grow older I am continually setting new goals for myself and reflecting on my past.
This has helped me improve my work ethic and help me work harder. The motivation to achieve my own personal goals pushes me to become a better version of myself and I am continually growing. Below are just a couple goals and reflections of my personal life. Goals

My Passions in Three Pictures
Reflection on junior year
Junior year was chaotic to say the least. Everything was quick paced and basically the year flew by. I somehow passed physics, yet it's still a foreign language to me. That was the class that worried me the most honestly. Yet here I am standing on the other side. I did it! I kept my 3.8 overall GPA which was a huge goal for me especially with college applications coming up. I took the ACT this year as well and did a lot better than I previously thought I would. I still would like to add some points to my score, but I know what to study now. Junior year was more challenging, but I am through it now luckily. I have learned so much this year and honestly had some of my favorite teachers and classes. I learned everything from how to build a hot air balloon to how to correctly cater an event. I also learned some practical skills don't worry. I finally learned how to write a thesis, which took a LOT of work (Thank you Ms. May!), and I learned how to do my own taxes. My education grew a lot this year.
I also learned a lot about myself. I learned what really interests me and I know what I want to do with my life. I learned that I want to go into the medical field and how much work that will be. I also had to laugh at my mistakes. That's a good skill to have. As I had to go into history and give up my lunch to finish projects or as I tried to paddle a cardboard boat across a pool as I slowly sunk, I learned that failing is okay. It's how people learn. Mistakes can be good. I am so thankful I was pushed out of my comfort zone this year and in some cases literally pushed into the pool to learn.
What I learned this year is how to fail. failing is okay if you learn from your mistakes. |
Thailand was another amazing experience. I can hardly put what I learned from that trip into words. I was humbled and motivated to continue to serve others and go on humanitarian trips. Basically to sum it up: Thailand was the highlight of junior year, maybe even my whole life!

Junior year has been fast paced, chaotic, extreme, challenging, and most importantly, rewarding. I have learned lessons I needed in my life. I have acquired skills and met people. I have realized how fast life can slip away from you and I have learned to take life day by day. Next year is my senior year. 'The best year of my life' in the words of most people. Senior year will be exciting, fun, and hopefully educational. I look forward to life and can't wait to see what happens next!
